2 firefighters injured in multi-alarm fire at Resurrection Medical Center

Chicago Tribune Story:  Two firefighters received minor injuries and were taken to area hospitals, he said. No patients or hospital staff were reportedly hurt.

“This is an unbelievable amount of woodwork that we had to work our way through,” Santiago said, adding that about 80 fire companies were on scene. 

The fire was out at 12:30 a.m. Friday, but there was “a lot of water damage” at the hospital, Santiago said.

Steve Muniak, 62, was visiting his sister at the hospital when he saw firetrucks coming in.
