Video: 9 Rescued in Early Morning Chicago 2-11 Alarm Apartment Fire

Chicago Firefighters battled a fire at 9038 S. Cottage Grove early this morning. Companies found fire in the basement of a 3 story 50×100, as well as numerous residents needing rescue. Companies rescued 9 civilians from the fire. The fire grew to a 2-11 Alarm. Here is more on the fire.

WGN – “Arson investigators are looking into what caused a massive fire on the far South Side, where nine people were rescued.

The fire broke out in the 9000 block of South Cottage Grove at about 2:30 a.m.

Fire crews arrived to find smoke pouring out of the third floor windows.

They rescued nine people, helping them down ladders.  Three went to Trinity Hospital to get treated for smoke inhalation.”…Continue Reading Here
