Video: Chicago Firefighter Seriously Injured Battling a Fatal Fire

Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured firefighter who fell down an elevator shaft while battling a fatal apartment fire late last night.  Above is the news coverage of the fire and below is some pieces of the news article.  We are hoping for a speedy recovery for our brother.

The Chicago Fire Department says the fire broke out just after 10 p.m. in one apartment in the building. While it was not a very big fire, it produced a lot of smoke and caused a lot of smoke damage, according to fire officials, and displaced 30 people. The injured firefighter fell down a 20-foot elevator shaft and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.
