  1. This was not the deadliest school fire in American history. The Collinwood School Fire in Collinwood, Ohio in 1908 was. This one ranks third.

  2. If my parents hadn’t decided to move to the suburbs 4 years earlier my sister, my brother and myself would have been in that fire. We played with children who died in that fire. So sad.

  3. My Cousin is First on the list of dead. I still remember the day like yesterday. The tears still fall every Dec. 1.

  4. Robert Chiappetta’s new book The Immaculate Deception, will finally dispell the myths presented in this video. The deaths of the children had no correlation to “obedience to the nuns.” By the time the fire was discovered, it was already too late to use the hallways. Mr. Chiappetta’s book can be purchased on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

  5. As a survivor of the fire who lost my little sister, rest assured that through extensive research, my allegations are credible.

  6. It was the third deadliest school fire in U.S. history. It represents the most people saved in the least amount of time in the history of the Chicago Fire Dept. It changed fire safety in school forever. Since 1958 no school fire has claimed more than 10 lives. RIP Angels.
