Article from ABC 7 Chicago:
“Huge flames and thick plumes of smoke are coming from the roof of the commercial building in the 3900-block of West Harrison Street. The company, Harris Ice Delivery, makes ice cubes, ice blocks and refrigeration. It’s one of a series of buildings that span almost an entire city block in which there are also homes. Officials said the company uses ammonia and other chemicals.
Chicago Fire Media spokesperson Larry Langford said the building is “totally involved.” He said there had been a “few explosions” and the situation was a Level One HAZMAT.

“9-25-14: The 2nd 3-11 this week! The 13th Battalion was alerted to a possible roof on fire in the 3900 block of W Harrison Street. Upon going en route, Engine 95 and the Truck reported that they had a large header in the sky. The MFAO shortly thereafter started a Still & Box into Harrison Street. Upon arrival, Battalion 13 reported a 200×125 commercial building fully involved. The original fire building was a truss roof with exposure to another truss roof building. A Level 1 Haz-Mat was requested due to a reported ammonia leak and reportedly several explosions. A 3-11 was requested at 1547 hours. A multiversal was set up on Side A, Tower 5, Tower 14, Squad 1, and the Reserve Snorkel all employed master streams at this incident. 2-7-1 reported exposure problems on Sides B & C. 2-1-5 then relayed to 2-7-1 around 1608 hours that the building was surrounded, exposures were covered, and all companies working. The 3-11 was struck out at 1632 hours.
