Video: Seven Homes Were Destroyed By Fire in Detroit This Afternoon

Detroit Firefighters were called to a possible home explosion this afternoon.  Companies arrived and found heavy fire in multiple homes.  It was reported that one civilian exited the home and was running down the street on fire.  We don’t have any updates on injuries or conditions of those injured.  Incredible video footage shows multiple homes burning and collapsed.  We will bring you more as we get it.

Multiple houses were burning Friday afternoon after an explosion on Oakdale Street near Vernor Highway in southwest Detroit. 

Detroit firefighters battled the flames in an effort to keep them from spreading down the street. They were able to contain it to about seven homes. Firefighters believe the initial explosion was caused by a natural gas leak. They said there was scrapping going on inside the house.
