The City of East Moline Fire & Police Commission will conduct examinations to create Firefighter Eligibility List. CPAT Orientation is July 15, 8:00 am, final testing is September 9. Starting salary $46,328.53. Duties include fire suppression, advanced EMS, provide emergency response and rescue, and operate rescue equipment. Requirements are U.S. Citizenship; high school graduate or equivalent, valid driver’s license; vision correctable to 20/40 with no monochromatic color blindness; current and valid Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) including ladder climb card. The equivalent of a High School Diploma; possession of Firefighter II certification within 1 year; possession of Paramedic certification within 2 years; possession of Minimum Qualifications: ACLS, EMT and CPR certification; possession of an Illinois Class B or Iowa Class D license is also required; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
