Job Description:

All testing must be completed by October 16, 2015.

Brooksville Fire Department’s current eligibility list will expire in the near future.  The Department is developing a list of interested/eligible applicants interested in a Firefighter/EMT position.  The list will be valid for potential candidates for 1 year from the date it is established.  Florida Minimum Standards (Firefighter II Certification) and Florida EMT is required. (Florida Paramedic certification is preferred).  The Department will be interviewing to establish this list and immediately hire two (2) Firefighter EMT positions immediately available beginning October 1, 2015.  It should be noted that while a vision of the Department is to eventually become ALS First Response, that change in service delivery is NOT in the immediate future.

Interested parties should update their NTN Profile, and complete or update the Personal History Questionnaire and select the City of Brooksville on their NFN Profile.  Any applicants with an incomplete Personal History Questionnaire(PHQ)  WILL BE ELIMINATED.  Applicants selected for processing will be contacted by Brooksville Human Resource Director.  Please direct all questions to NTN Customer Support.  Please DO NOT call the fire department or city human resources directly unless directed to do so.  The posting will remain open until filled.

When updating profiles and completing the PHQ, applicants should provide complete details and  information regarding all firefighting experience and certifications, including medical certifications and indicate if they are a paramedic or EMT or both.  Information regarding experience (Volunteer or career) is critical in the selection process.  All certifications must be valid and current in the State of Florida. Expired certifications will not be accepted.  City applications should not be submitted until applicants have been contacted by the department with invitations to proceed.

Applicants must complete FireTEAM and have a valid NTN CPAT.  The department requires the candidate PHQ.  You can access the questionnaire through your candidate account.  The PHQ must be completed by the closing date or you may not be considered further in the process.
