Compensation (current salary range – 05/01/2018 to 04/30/2019):
Starting FF/PM salary is $64,986 – Top FF/PM salary is $97,747
Minimum Requirements:

Between the ages of 20 and 35 years of age at the time of application deadline (3/29/19) unless exempt by statute (65 ILCS 5/10-2.1-6)

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident who has applied for citizenship

Valid driver’s license

Applicants shall not have any tattoos that would be visible in whole or in part while wearing any uniform or apparel of the department

Valid CPAT and Ladder Climb due at time of application deadline. Considered valid only if issued within 12 months prior to 3/29/19

Must have a valid IDPH or National Registry EMT-B license by application deadline (3/29/19). Paramedic license due at time of hire.

Mandatory Orientation:
Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at Hinsdale Middle School.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. with no admittance allowed once doors are closed. Must present photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, military ID), valid CPAT card and original State of IL EMT Certification to sign-in.
Mandatory Written Exam:
Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Hinsdale Middle School.
Must arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. with a photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, military ID) to sign-in. No late admittance.
