Job Description:

This position requires FireTEAM and a valid NTN CPAT.  All testing must be completed by May 25, 2016.

The department requires the candidate PHQ.  You can access the questionnaire through your candidate account.  The PHQ must be completed by the closing date or you may not be considered further in the process.

You will not fill out a City of Kissimmee employment application at this time.  Successful candidates will be invited to fill out the City of Kissimmee employment application to continue in the process.  Candidates MUST fill out the NTN application as part of the testing process.

Department Overview: Founded in 1909, the Kissimmee Fire Department is rich in tradition. Over the years it has developed into a full-service modern ALS transport fire department that responds to over 12,000 calls for service a year.  The Kissimmee Fire Department has an ISO “1” rating which ranks it in the top 5% of all fire services surveyed in Florida. The department operates out of 4 fire stations with 106 personnel covering nearly 20 square miles. Necessary Certifications:

  • State of Florida Certificate of Compliance Fire Standards (FFII)
  • State of Florida Paramedic
  • EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course) 16-hour certificate
  • Current CPR Card
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification)
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • ICS-100, 200, 700, 800
  • Successful completion of National Testing Network FireTEAM Testing and CPAT
  • Lifetime Driving Record (DMV)


  • Candidates who live within a 30 mile radius of the city.
  • Military experience with Honorable Discharge.
