We are currently accepting applications for the position of Battalion Chief. Please download and complete the Employment Packet located on our website at then submit it to the District Headquarters no later than February 27, 2015 by 4:00 pm. Under general direction, performs responsible management, technical and administrative work in commanding and coordinating fire emergency operations, training, fire prevention, public education, disaster preparedness, facility/equipment maintenance, and other related programs and services; provides responsible and technical staff assistance; implements program goals and objectives; oversees and supervises assigned staff.

REQUIREMENTS (Minimum Qualifications)

The following requirements must be met in order to be considered for employment.

  • ï‚·  High School Diploma or G.E.D.;
  • ï‚·  No felony convictions;
  • ï‚·  No serious misdemeanor convictions for the past five years;
  • ï‚·  Excellent physical condition
    Candidates must submit copies of supporting documentation that applicant possesses the following

    qualifications: No further certifications or resume required at this time.

  • ï‚·  Valid Missouri Driver’s License (within 6 months of employment offer)
  • ï‚·  Firefighter I & II
  • ï‚·  First Responder
  • ï‚·  Fire Instructor I
  • ï‚·  Fire Officer I
  • ï‚·  NIMS 300/400 or Command and Control class from NFA

    Candidates must attach a copy of their driver’s license, a course completion certificate showing 40-hours of First Responder training and Firefighter I & II, Fire Instructor I, and Fire Officer I certifications. Application packet must be complete.
