FIRE FIGHTER OPPORTUNITIES WITH THE
CITY OF NORTH KANSAS CITY, MO
The City of North Kansas City, Missouri is establishing eligibility lists for both Firefighter/EMT and Firefighter/Paramedic.  Currently; the City currently has several vacancies.

Compensation & Benefits: The pay range for Firefighter/Paramedic is $42,275 – $63,400 annually ($16.21 – $24.31 hourly), DOQ. The pay range for Firefighter/EMT is $36,761 – $55,142 annually ($14.10 – $21.15 hourly) DOQ. The City offers a full range of benefits including medical and dental insurance, paid leave, both a defined benefit plan (Pension) and a defined contribution plan (457) and a tuition reimbursement program.
24-hour personnel work the Berkeley schedule and have one Kelly day in each 28 day work period.
Minimum Qualifications: Firefighter/EMT -     Must possess current Firefighter I and II Certifications and CPAT(or have obtained by May 31, 2015); Must possess and maintain certifications and qualifications necessary to meet NFPA 1001 standards. HAZMAT Operations and Awareness Certification preferred;  Must possess & maintain EMT-B or EMT-P (Paramedic) License with Missouri State Certification or National Registry; Must have passed the Blue River or Johnson County Community College Firefighter written entry exam, or equivalent if applying from out of the KC metropolitan area: Must possess and maintain current American Heart Association Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation; Must possess a valid driver’s license; Must pass annual physical exam as prescribed by NFPA 1582.
Firefighter/Paramedic - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification. PHTLS, PALS preferred.
