Chicago Firefighters made a rescue early Tuesday morning on the City’s South Side. Â The Still and Box Alarm Fire was located at 81st andÂ Vincennes. Â Companies arrived and were told a woman was trapped. Â Firefighters went to the rear and made entry thru a window. Â The woman could be heard screaming and firefighters were able to get to her thru a wall. The young man in the picture below made the save. Â He has 11 months on the job. Chicago firefighters rescued a woman from a burning house this morning.
The fire broke out in a home on 81st and Vincennes on the cityâ€™s South Side.
A woman told WGN that her aunt woke her up when she smelled smoke.
The fire spread quickly, and trapped the womanâ€™s aunt in the home.
Firefighters arrived and got her out.
