“Emergency crews were called to the building in the 4700 block of North Winthrop Avenue about 10:05 a.m., said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Will Knight. One person was taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital in good condition following the fire, he said.

The fire was on the third floor of the building, according to the fire department’s news office. Firefighters were on the roof of the building when the entire top floor became “engulfed in flames,” Ald. James Cappelman, 46th, said in a Tweet. Full Story Continued….
