
“Firefighters spent more than an hour and a half fighting an extra-alarm fire that broke out in the North Side’s Wrightwood Neighbors neighborhood early this morning.
The fire started about 3 a.m. inside a building in the 2600 block of North Lincoln Avenue, according to Will Knight, a spokesman for the Chicago Fire Department.
Firefighters found flames on all three of the building’s floors and elevated the fire to a 2-11 alarm, Knight said. Firefighters extinguished the fire shortly after 4:45 a.m..
No injuries were reported. Several people were displaced and were expected to be picked up by family members”.
