UPDATED WITH NEW INFO: Some Raw Video Footage of Chicago’s 3-11 Alarm Fire Today (10/12/14)

Found a short clip with some footage of the 3-11 Alarm Fire in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago from earlier this afternoon.  Companies responded to 2989  S Lyman.  Companies had heavy fire in multiple 2.5 story frames with exposure problems.  A Mayday alert was called during the 2-11 Alarm however later secured. We will keep you updated.  The youtube video was posted by cubedmeatgoeshere and there was no description posted with it.

Chicago Tribune – Two firefighters were trapped in an extra-alarm fire at a residential building in the Bridgeport neighborhood that displaced at least 10 people Sunday afternoon, but the firefighters escaped with minor injuries.

Fire crews were called to the scene in the 2900 block of South Lyman Street about 2:30 p.m., according to Police News Affairs. The fire was raied to a 3-11 alarm about 3:30 p.m. and an emergency medical services plan 1, which sends six ambulances to the scene after the firefighters were trapped.

Firefighters who were inside trying to put out the blaze were ordered to leave the building when fire began spreading up the interiors of the building’s walls, Chicago Fire Commissioner Jose Santiago told reporters at the scene…Continue Reading Here
