All ended well in Chicago this evening after a Firefighter fell on stairs that collapsed under him. Â The Firefighter was able to get up out of the basement and keep working. Â We are relieved there were no serious injures on this run. Â Here is more on the story below.
Chicago Tribune – “A Chicago firefighter who fell about eight feet when a stairway collapsed during a blaze got back up and started working again, according to his supervisor Wednesday night.
â€œHe fell, walked up the stairs and went back to fighting the fire,â€™â€™ said Battalion Chief Jeffery Mayer on the scene.
No one was injured during the blaze that started about 5:35 p.m. at 6943 S. Paulina St. in the West Englewood neighborhood and spread to 39-year-old Emerald Stewartâ€™s house next door at 6945 St. Paulina St.”…Continue Reading Here
