Two women were killed in a fire on Chicago’s Northwest side last night. Â The fire started around 11:30 P.M. in the 4500 block of West Parker. Â Companies arrived to find a fire in the basement. Â
CHICAGO (WLS) — Two women were killed in a suspicious fire at an apartment building in the 4500-block of West Parker in the Kelvyn Park neighborhood, located on Chicago’s Northwest Side.Â
Bomb and Arson detectives were called to the scene of what officials are now calling a death investigation around 11:40 p.m. Thursday. The building structure never caught fire, Chicago Fire Department officials said, but something inside that unit was burning. Sources say accelerants were found.
The women, in their 20s, lived in the basement unit of the building, where the fire began. They did not have smoke detectors, fire officials said.
