Two men injured in a South Side fire Monday night

Two men were injured in a South Side fire Monday night.

The fire broke out about 10:20 p.m. in the 700 block of East 92nd Street in the Burnside neighborhood.

Firefighters found one man on the second floor of the abandoned house, Chicago Fire Department Spokesman Larry Langford said. He was unconscious but breathing and taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital in serious-to-critlcal condition.

A second man was found outside, suffering minor injuries from apparent smoke inhalation, Langford said. He was taken to the same hospital in fair-to-serious condition.

The fire was extinguished by about 10:40 p.m.
