“WAUKESHA, Wis. —A 34-year-old man in critical condition following a Friday night fire has been identified.MAN ACCUSED OF TAKING VIDEO OF NAKED WOMAN AT WAUKESHA…

Waukesha Fire Department Acting Chief Steve Howard said that Michael Coyle, who resides at the home at 1007 Motor Avenue, was flown to St. Mary’s burn center Friday night following the fire.

Howard said investigators have determined the fire began in an attached garage, but the investigation into the fire continues.

WISN 12 News reported in October of last year that Coyle, a former swim instructor at Swimtastic, had been charged with two felonies related to recording naked women at the facility.

According to the prosecutor of that case, Coyle’s wife discovered video cameras in their home last year and discovered they contained footage of naked women at Swimtastic.

Neighbor Tony Babich said he called 911 when he saw the house was on fire Feb. 14. He said flames from the fire were high above the roof.

“We could hear the tires on the vehicle popping and yeah, you could feel the heat, we were out here with the neighbors and it was pretty intense,” Babich said.

The intense fire burned down a garage. Some neighbors were temporarily evacuated, police said. Siding on one of the neighboring homes melted, investigators said.

“A lot of people running around outside screaming, flames, garage was fully engulfed and it was pretty bad,” Babich said.

Coyle was the only person home when the fire happened.

He was due to have a plea/sentencing hearing in mid-March.
