3 Firefighters Injured, 1 Possibly Seriously in Clearfield, PA

One Firefighter reported to be in serious condition and two others injured following a 3 alarm fire in Clearfield, PA  Here is more on the story.

CLEARFIELD, Pa. WJAC – “At least one firefighter was rushed to the hospital after a fire broke out Tuesday in a Clearfield County home. Authorities said the firefighter was seriously injured in the fire, which broke out around 9 a.m. Tuesday in the 700 block of Daisy Street in Clearfield Borough. Three firefighters were taken to the hospital with injuries after the porch roof collapsed, EMA officials said during a briefing Tuesday morning. The three had to be extricated from the home. One of those firefighters was taken to UPMC Altoona by ambulance with seriously injuries. The other two were treated locally and have been released. Other minor injuries, including slips and falls and a dog bite, were also reported. A 50-year veteran of the Clearfield County Fire Department, who lives around the corner from the house where the fire broke out, told 6 News that he was one of the first people on the scene.
