Cal-Fire/Riverside County Fire Fights Over Night House Fire

“WOODCREST – Last night at about 10:37pm Cal Fire/ Riverside County Fire responded to a residential structure fire in the 17100 block of Singingbird Lane. Per Jennifer Fuhrman of Cal Fire/ Riverside County Fire, first arriving resources found a 2800 square foot single story, single family residence with heavy smoke and flames in the garage area with extension into the attic. A Firefighter at the scene described the conditions of the garage as “Pack rat type conditions.” At times the raging fire sent flames shooting approximately 30 feet into the air. The American Red Cross was requested to assist three adults displaced by the fire. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined. According to Cal Fire/ Riverside County Fire’s website a total of 24 Firefighters, 6 engines companies, 1 truck company and a breathing support unit battled the blaze. No injuries were reported.”
