Dash Cam Video and Fireground Audio of a Well Involved House Fire in Newark, Ohio

Dash cam video shows a Chief from Newark, OH responding to and operating at a well involved house fire.  The vide was posted by David Decker and description is below.

“On July 22nd 2016, at 0628 hours Newark units were dispatched to the area of 60 Wing Street for a report of a structure fire. NFD had 17 members on duty that responded in 2 engines, 2 ladders, 2 medics and chief officer on the initial assignment. Heath FD assisted upon announcement of the working fire responding with 2 additional engines.

The on-duty NFD members responding to this call was at the location next to this address the previous morning to assist with a working fire that damaged 4 buildings so we were feeling confident that this was most likely going to be a working fire.

Upon arrival of BN-1 heavy fire is noted on the front porch area extending into the structure and up the A-side of the structure. The occupant reported that everyone had made it out.

The first arriving engine attacked the main body of the fire with a 1 3/4″ attack line. The front porch roof collapsed down blocking entry into the front side of the building. A second 1 3/4″ lined was charged and entry was make through the back door on the C-side.

The cause of this fire as well as the fire the previous morning are both under investigation.

I have additional working fire videos on this channel and on my other YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/traumawa…

Make everyday a training day and stay safe.”
