At Least 16 Dead as Tornadoes Hit Arkansas, Oklahoma, Iowa
â€œThe worst is not over,â€ said Kevin Roth, a meteorologist for The Weather Channel.
Faulkner County, Ark., particularly the suburbs of Mayflower and Vilonia, was the hardest hit Sunday. As many as 10 people died there, including two children, and authorities said that at least 150 homes had been destroyed. Rescuers still hoped to find people alive. Click here for more

“SPRINGFIELD, Mo. â€” Officials with the National Weather Service station in Springfield are confirming that the tornado that hit Quapaw, Okla., on Sunday was the same one that hit Baxter Springs, Kan., a few minutes later. NWS survey crews have been on the ground since early this morning.
The tornado cut diagonally through Baxter Springs for a mile and was 100 to 200 yards wide when it hit that community, with wind speeds estimated at 120 to 130 miles per hour, which would make it an EF2 on the Enhanced Fujita scale. Full story continued….
