“Just after 4pm Saturday a report of a house fire on Springfield Drive was received by Montgomery County 911. Caney Creek, New Caney, Porter and Cut and Shoot firefighters were dispatched to the scene just off Old Houston Road. The first crews in found heavy fire conditions in the rear of the house. 
The structure owned by the McMillans suffered heavy damage. Firefighters were still attempting to locate a family dog inside the structure.”
