Heavy Fire in a Single Story with Overhead Wires Arcing in Lake Charles, Louisiana

A house in Lake Charles, Louisiana is fully involved on arrival of the first due companies. The first in crews did a great job recognizing the wires and making their attack from the rear of the structure. The video is by WillBergLCFD and a description is below:

Screen Shot 2016-07-06 at 12.20.15 PM“On 7/2/16, Lake Charles Fire Department’s E5(first due), E1, L1, L2, T9, and DC45 were dispatched to a residential structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy fire from the “alpha” side along with a power line arcing and live ammunition going off inside the structure. Crews made a transitional attack starting from the exterior with 1 3/4in lines then entering through the rear of the residence to extinguish the rest of the fire from the interior. A Screen Shot 2016-07-06 at 12.19.56 PMsecond alarm was struck for additional manpower (E6, L6, E2). No injuries were reported. C-Shift was on duty.”
