Helmet Cam of Heavy Fire From a 2 Story Apartment Building.

Great helmet cam video of a 2 story apartment building with heavy fire on the 2nd floor. We could not find too much information on this video, and do not know where this fire was. It is still a good video to watch and see how the fire spread and watch the structure fail. Hopping no one was injured in this one. If anyone has any idea where this was please let us know. The video was by  Juan Pineda and no description was given.

  1. The fire is from Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department in northwest Harris County (just outside Houston). The video was taken by Juan Pineda, a Lt at Station 6. We were dispatched at 03:00 to a reported apartment fire. First arriving units found fire through the roof of 2/3 of the building. Primary search was negative, and no civilian injuries. A few minor firefighter injuries were treated on scene.

The video is from the back (charlie) side of the building. Crews made an exterior attack on the delta end with 2″ lines, and made an interior push on the bravo end to minimize spread through the attic into the last 1/3 of the building. Same approach was taken on the Alpha side, until we ultimately got a tower up to knock down the fire in the fully involved apartments. Crews made a great stop and kept the fire from spreading significantly after arriving on scene.

I’m the guy wearing the red DC vest caught in the still frame below the video.
