“On Tuesday, June 21st 2016, Stockton Firefighters responded to reports of fire in a building on Weber Ave. Upon arriving on scene, conditions appeared that there was fire through the roof; later determined to be a rooftop fire with extension into the fifth floor cockloft.

As firefighters began operations, a victim was spotted hanging off the side of the roof. Truck crews quickly scaled the building and rescued the victim. A rope bag took hoisted two lines aloft, and the fire was extinguished. Firefighters performed overhaul while the victim was medically evaluated, and taken into custody.

Stockton Firefighter worked hard to save this, and many other, older buildings in the area- plagued by fires. We are proud to serve and protect the citizens and City of Stockton, CA.

Partial video provided by Eastside Fire Photos and medics on scene.”
