“Incident Video Release: On November 27th, 2018 at 03:30PM SBCoFD responded to a residential structure fire in the 11700 block of Redwood Ave in the City of Hesperia. Medic Engine 313 arrived on scene in approximately 4 minutes and reported heavy smoke and fire coming from the Charlie side of the structure. Medic Engine 313 initiated an offensive interior attack, while truck crews supported the efforts from above. During interior attack, the incident commander utilized a “Zone Retreat” to remove crews from the room of origin due to roof compromise because of a large HVAC above. Crews continued fire attack from an adjacent room, along with additional crews that attacked the fire from the exterior. The fire was ultimately declared out approximately 25 minutes later. San Bernardino County Fire responded with 4 paramedic engines, 1 truck company, 1 county ambulance, 1 battalion chief and 1 investigator for a total of 19 personnel. Two civilians were evaluated for minor injuries. No injuries to fire personnel. The cause is currently under investigation.”
