For the second time in as many days we regret to bring you dreadful news. This time it appears a FDNY member has passed away in the line of duty following a fall off a Bridge in Brooklyn. Details are limited at this point, however he was working at the scene of a crash and may have lost his balance. Our Hearts, thoughts, and prayers go out to the FDNY and the members family. NY Post – “An FDNY firefighter is dead after falling from the Mill Basin drawbridge in Brooklyn while responding to a car accident on Sunday night, according to sources.
The 30-year-old smoke-eater was trying to aid motorists in the westbound lanes — and was crossing over on foot from the eastbound lanes — when he somehow lost his balance and fell to the ground below.
Sources said the man plunged 30 to 50 feet after attempting to traverse a gap in the road. It’s unclear, though, if he knew there was a gap there and had tried to jump across.
The firefighter has less than 3 years in the department and his father is a retired FDNY Chief, according to sources.”…Continue Reading Here
