Line of Duty Death: Porterville, California Firefighter Dies Battling a Fire at The Local Library One Firefighter Still Missing

We don’t have many details but we do know one Firefighter has passed and one is still missing at a Library fire in Porterville, California.  Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved during this extremely difficult time.

PORTERVILLE, Calif. (FOX26) — Officials have confirmed that one firefighter has died and one is still missing after a massive fire broke out at the Porterville Library.

Just after 4 p.m. Tuesday, Porterville City Fire got a call about a fire at the library.

When crews arrived, they saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the building.

A total of 55 firefighters were on scene trying to put out the fire.

The library dates back to 1953 and was still in operation.”…Continue Reading Here
