A 4 Alarm strip mall fire in Westfield, NJ occurred around noon today (Labor Day).  The fire happened at 1004 South Ave. West.  We will update when we have more information on this fire.

“Fire crews knocked down a four-alarm strip mall fire in Westfield Monday.

The fire was reported at around 11:30 a.m. Arriving firefighters found flames coming from the rear of Karate N Motion.

Fire Chief Daniel Kelly says five of eight stores in the building on South Avenue West have been destroyed, and there was a partial roof collapse. A fire wall protected the three other businesses.”
