***Update on the 3 Firefighters Killed Yesterday in Washington***

The Firefighters that tragically lost their lives yesterday were involved in a vehicle accident when the wild fire overtook their vehicle. The names of the fallen have not yet been released but we will keep you up to date as the information comes in. Here is an article from Foxnews.com:


Three U.S. Forest Service firefighters were killed Wednesday after their vehicle crashed and was likely caught by flames as they battled a blaze in north-central Washington state, authorities said.

“The firefighters were engaged in initial attack operations and were involved in a vehicle accident when it is believed that the fire overtook the vehicle,” a statement from Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest said early Thursday.

Four other firefighters were injured. It was not immediately clear if they were traveling in the same vehicle as the deceased. The Forest Service statement identified the four injured as two Department of Natural Resources employees, a DNR contractor, and one U.S. Forest Service worker. Okanogan County Sheriff Frank Rogers told KCPQ that all four were expected to survive their injuries.” (Read the full article HERE.)
