Video and Dispatch Audio: 3 Alarm Dwelling Fire in Perth Amboy, New Jersey

Video of companies working a dwelling fire in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.  The fire went 3 Alarms and was posted by Perth Amboy First Responders and description is below.

“On 5/5/19 at 00:59, the Department was dispatched to a reported fire at 118 State Street. Units arrived to find heavy fire in the rear of the apartment building with extension into all three floors and the cockloft. All residents safely escaped the fire due to working smoke detectors. The incident escalated to 3 alarms bringing numerous mutual aid units to the scene. 5 hoselines were needed to contain & extinguish the fire. All searches were completed throughout the 7 apartments and major overhaul was conducted for several hours once the fire was brought under control. The fire was contained to the building of origin. Responding units were E-1, E-2, E-3, E-4, T-2, C-1, C-2, C-3, C-5, C-9 along with Mutual Aid units Hopelawn Rescue 8, Keasbey 4-2-4, South Amboy E-7, Sayreville E-3, Sayreville T-1, Fords 7-1 and Iselin 9-3-4. East Brunswick & Cheesequake covered the City during the incident. The fire is under investigation by the PAFD & Middlesex County Fire Marshal’s Office.”
