“FDNY On Scene Queens 4th Alarm Box 7204 **99-44-7204** 23-59 Borden Ave. off 25th St. Heavy Fire in a 1 Story Auto Body Shop In Long Island City, Queens. 9/29/18 New York City Fire Department Units Responded to 23-59 Borden Ave. In Long Island City to Reports of a Fire In a 1 Story Commercial around 8pm on Saturday Night. Due to Multiple Calls Being Received for the Box the 10-75 (Working Fire Signal) was Transmitted. Upon Arrival Units had Smoke Showing from an Auto Body Shop, 2 Hose Lines were Stretched and an Extra Engine and Tower Ladder were Requested as Units Tried Locating the Main Source of the Fire. Shortly After A 2nd Alarm was Transmitted and Tower Ladders Began to Quickly Set Up. Shortly Before 8:30pm the 3rd Alarm was Transmitted after Fire had Began to Shoot Out Through the Roof with the 4th Alarm Being Transmitted About an Hour Later. The Fire was Placed Under Control Shortly before 12am with No Injuries were Reported.”
