“8-10-2016 Los Angeles Firefighters, Task Force 11, Engine 13 Battalion 11 & 1 first on scene on the 1200 block of South Bonnie Brae in L.A.‘s Pico-Union district had fire and smoke showing throughout a large victorian home that spread to two other craftsman style homes. L.A. Firefighters aggressively advanced hose lines, pulling the ceilings of both homes to get to the seat of the fire. A slight afternoon breeze helped fan the flames throughout the affected attics. L.A. Firefighters had control of the fire in a little over an hours time. Approximately 41 persons were displaced due to the fire. There were no reported injuries although some of the Firefighters battling the blaze did suffer from heat exhaustion. Firefighters did an outstanding job keeping the fire from jumping the block. The cause of the intense afternoon blaze is under investigation. – MNR -“
