Video shows companies from LAFD battling heavy fire conditions in a Hyde Park house fire. Â Even a civilian has his garden hose out trying to stop the spread of flames to his garage. Â The video was posted byÂ firelensman.Â Â The description of the fire is below.
“4-7-2016 L.A. Firefighters, Task Force 94, Task Force 66, Battalion 13 first on scene at 4245 West 62nd Street in Hyde Park reported a one and two story house with heavy fire showing. Two additional Task Forces were immediately requested on top of the original assignment. Firefighters quickly laid lines, attacking the fire in the rear of the two story add-on, inside and out. Firefighters also went to work protecting the exposures on both sides. Access to the fully involved structure was limited. The main bulk of fire was knocked down in an hours time. Two persons, a man and woman, reportedly perished in the fire. An elderly 80 year old man who reportedly jumped from the house was transported to a local area hospital via paramedics. L.A. County Fire assisted on scene. Damage was extensive. Arson is investigating the tragic greater alarm late night blaze. – MNR -“
