Video of a well involved apartment fire in Los Angles was posted by firelensman and description is below.
“11-21-2018 Los Angeles Firefighters battled a spectacular blaze that tore through the attic and second floor of a two story, six unit apartment house on the 1400 block of Toberman Street in L.A.’s Pico-Union district. LAFD Firefighters first on scene pulled ceiling and ventilated the roof to get to the well established attic fire. As heavy flames consumed the attic, Firefighters were ordered off the roof and out of the building due to a partial attic collapse. Firefighters also went to work protecting exposures on both sides, a one story to the north and a two story to the south. After knocking down heavy fire from the outside, Firefighters went back inside and with several handlines knocked down the remaining fire and hot spots in less than an hours time. The wood and stucco structure was reportedly built in the early 1900’s. There were no reported injuries, over twenty residents and thier pets were displaced. The cause of the intense greater alarm blaze is under investigation. There was talk a heater may have triggered the fire but that remains unconfirmed. – MNR -“
