Fire Captain issues mayday, saved by ladder truck, raw video

Grandview Missouri Fire Captain Alan Dugan was conducting a search and rescue operation when the ceiling collapsed, causing him to become disoriented. Fire fighter D’Agostino raised the ladder and quickly went to the captain’s aide.

“When I got up there I could hear his alarm going off and knew he was right by that window. As I started clearing out the window, I could see the blinking of his air pack, and that’s when I dropped down below the smoke and was just reaching and yelling for him to come to me,” D’Agostino said.

With the fast actions of fire fighter D’Agostino, Captain Dugan was rescued, only suffering 2nd degree burns. He is expected to recover fully. Story courtesy of 41 Action News, KSHB.
